in case you don’t already know, there’s two canon incest couples (cousins) in the book love medicine by louise erdrich

No, I didn’t know! Love Medicine sounds very promising – double trouble!

“Love Medicine” is a multigenerational novel about two interrelated families living on a North Dakota reservation from the 1930s to the 1980s. It’s written as a series of 18 interlocked stories that often tell about the same situation from a second character’s point of view.

Sounds great. Thank you so much for the info!

Hi! Recently i watched this film called “the savage is loose”in which a couple with their little son shipwrecked in this unhabited island where they remain fo a long time and the son grew up and develops sexual desire for his mother since she’s the only woman in the island,it was interesting.

In 1902, John , his much younger wife Maida and their infant son David are the only survivors of a ship that crashes into the rocky beach of an uncharted island during a violent storm. By 1912, David, now a seemingly happy 12-year-old boy, begins to enter puberty. By the time he is 17, David is consumed by lust for his mother, which drives a wedge between him and his father to the point where they hunt each other down for the affections of the only woman on the island.

AMAZING.

I had never heard of The Savage is Loose. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Anon. A new canon title – a merry Christmas indeed!!

I’m reading this book called “The Book of Speculation” and the main characters are siblings that are sooo shippable. He kind of raised her and when she grew up she left and he’s really broken hearted about it. He thinks about her ALL the time. The book is full of childhood memories and he even saved her life. Every time she calls he just drops everything he’s doing. She comes to visit and then he’s really jealous of her boyfriend. There’re so many cute details to their relationship!

Wow, that sounds amazing!!! As far as non-canon goes, it doesn’t sound like it could get much better. Thank you for all the info!

I wonder if you’ve ever heard about “Sambre” a comic series by Yslaire . He started publishing on the 80’s and it’s still a work on progress. The story takes place in the 1848 revolution in Paris, and tells the love story of half-siblings Julie Saintange and Bernard Sambre. It’s canon, she even gets pregnant. It has the same atmosphere as Les Miserables. Both siblings are so in love , and so doomed. Ofc everything ends up tragically for them, but it seems their child has still a chance in life.

Wow, I have never heard about Sambre! I can’t believe he has been working on it for 30+ years. That’s incredible. And the canon incest at the center, that’s also incredible.

This sounds so amazing. Thank you, Anon!

hello!! this is the first time i’m talking to you through my new incest-blog acct; i’ve sent stuff before on anon, mostly about random anime and here i am again with another random anime sibling pairing. i don’t know if anyone’s suggested Soul Eater an anime where people can turn into weapons and form a partnership with someone who wields them. it’s kind of reminiscent of the kirishima duo from tokyo ghoul, where we don’t even find out the brother exists until later on, and he’s on the path to evil. tsubaki and masamune of soul eater are part of a special weapons family, but masamune doesn’t inherit the special ability to have multiple forms, so he feels inferior to his younger sister, who also has confidence issues of her own. present day, he’s become pretty psychotic and evil and “absorbs” innocent human souls (which is taboo and has intense consequences) and tsubaki is determined to stop him before he fully becomes “kishin.”

SPOILER: they fight but it’s obvious that he’s become a lot more powerful than her because of his evil methods, and he constantly belittles her, at the same time accusing her of pitying him and treating him delicately when they were younger because he was inferior to her. (there’s cute flashbacks where she would play whatever he wanted so that he’d actually spend time with her.)

finally, she resolves to not mother him anymore and really tries to give him a fight. he “touches” her soul and realizes that she’d cared for him all along and allows her to absorb his soul. there’s a really touching moment, in my opinion, where she cradles his soul and grieves for her brother. throughout the fight, he says that tsubaki (which means camellia) is a flower with no fragrance, but before he dies he realizes that camellias do have a beautiful fragrance. i don’t think this pairing is popular, and i cannot find a single fanpiece for it, but honestly it’s so intriguing to me, even if it’s tragic that she had to kill him. it’s been a while since i’ve watched the anime, but i think i remember that at some times tsubaki would talk to her brother’s soul.

also, there’s a genderbent arc and male!tsubaki looks almost exactly like masamune, and i love when siblings look so similar, they are basically each other in different genders (which so often happens in anime). thanks for being such a great, open blog as always!

Wow. It all sounds so beautiful and sad and wonderful. I’m amazed there’s not any content for this ship, even if the fandom for the anime isn’t huge.

Thank you so much for writing all of this out and providing pics. I feel like I really have a sense of their relationship. And thank you for all of the kind words you’ve said about my blog. Best of luck with yours!!!!!

Are you familiar to ‘Le affinità alchemiche’? It talks about two twins and their romance. It’s beautiful <3

Hi, Anon!

No, I haven’t heard of this book (until now!). Sadly, I haven’t been able to find it in English anywhere.

This was the description I found (translated by google):

John is eighteen years old, spent almost all in Verona, where he was born and where he lives alone with his father, notary. A quiet life, a few friends and, every day, the long workouts in the pool to prepare for races. Wild eighteen years old, a lot of friends and several suitors, lives on the ocean, and savor the summer just started when her mother disrupts life: they will move for work reasons. Wild will change school, must start all over again and will have to do in Verona, the city where she was born and from which their mother, many years before, had taken her away, separating it from his father and twin brother. When Savage crosses for the first time the threshold of the new house, John is holed up in his room. The just her voice to understand that nothing will be as before. Because soon the two emanates an electricity, magnetism, an affinity that has only one name, for their unpronounceable: desire.

It sounds amazing.

Please let me know if you or anyone else has any idea how it might be obtained in English translation.

Thank you for the recommendation, Anon!

So I just watched this old Lifetime movies based on this book, The Face On The Milk Carton, about a teenager who finds out that she was kidnapped as a kid and the people who have been raising her aren’t her biological parents. When she’s returned to her bio family in order to reconnect with them she has this really vitriolic relationship with her older bio brother who resents her and they have this really interesting love-hate chemistry going on. It’s non-canon, but still pretty enjoyable!

I read that book as a kid!!!! But I don’t remember her brother(s) at all. It’s so funny what I do remember about that book. It made quite an impression on me. I think I was a little too young when I read it. It was definitely more YA and I was more like 10.

That sounds like something I would really enjoy. Thank you so much for the recommendation, Anon!

Неу! final girl (film 2015) Nelson and Nelson’s Mom

Hey!

I hadn’t heard of this movie, which really surprises me, because I recognize the three leads.

Next, Veronica goes after Nelson. He sees a group of gray figures circling around him whom he tries to fight. His mother appears and they kiss deeply before he dies from Veronica crushing his head with a rock.

Ohhhhh. It’s canon?

Thank you for the recommendation, Anon!!!! I am deeply intrigued.

Hi! I absolutely love your blog and I really enjoy reading your answers to asks, always interesting! :) I wonder, if you’ve heard of the Russian-French movie “Les clairières de lune” (2002-2003). It’s bro-sis love story, they met after being away for 10 years, and they realize, that they love each other the most in the world, since childhood. Story is very dramatic, strong and beautiful!

Thank you so much, Anon!!!

Les clairieres de lune/Lunnye polyany sounds like a tremendous recommendation but I haven’t been able to find very much about it, or find it in English (Or find it at all, actually.)

Looking at the cover makes me want to see it all the more.

If I can find the movie, I might be able to stumble through the French. Or is it in Russian?

I will have to keep searching for it. Thank you so much for the recommendation!!!

Did you use to watch Lie to Me when it was on? Carl and Emily have the best father/daughter relationship I’ve ever seen on a tv show. Seriously, it’s totally cliché and awesome – he’s always bitching about her boyfriends and super protecting her as she is always picking on him too; and, at the end of the day, they always show how much they love each other anyway! *-*

Hi, Anon!

No, I never watched Lie to Me.

That sounds GREAT. I’ll definitely have to check them out because that sounds amazing and all of the pics I’ve seen from looking them up are amazing.
