Hello! I know Reylo is all the rage right now (and I’m so sad that I’m not more into Star Wars to enjoy this huge new incest ship) but I just wanted to drop by and kind of gush to you, because I don’t know anyone else who might appreciate this. 

1) Not much of a ship (for me) but in One Punch Man (comedy anime about heroes and monsters), there’s Metal Bat and his lil sis, Zenko. We only hear about him talking about her all the time, and we don’t see her until recently in the manga. Metal Bat seems like your typical brawling punk (while being a top-tier hero) but he’s pissed about being called to a meeting… because he’s missing his sister’s piano concert! She calls later to tell him she’s won 3rd place and he gets teary eyed and tells her he’s very proud. She also calls him when she wants to go shopping and he wants to carry her shopping bags… but he’s busy with missions and he keeps apologizing to her (tbh they sound like a couple over the phone). She’s so spoiled by him, it’s the cutest. The defining CUTE factor… is that he stops himself from winning a fight because he doesn’t want to use violence in front of her. I had honestly hoped that she would be 2 years younger than him, but she’s very little maybe 10? I just adore this cute relationship, even if I can’t ship it. 

2) There’s a Kpop group called EXO and a member, Chanyeol has a BEAUTIFUL older sister, Yoora, who’s an announcer. They look so much alike it’s insane. I don’t really ship real-life people but they’re so sweet!!!

Metal Bat and Zenko sound SOOOOOOOO cute. I love how supportive and protective he is.

Ok I know you’re maybe not into mother/son or real life examples of potential like “vibes”. But, @jonesallenart on Instagram is the mother of the guy who plays Toby on pretty little liars (Keegan Allen). And there’s just vibes there. It’s sweet; but it definitely seems shippy.

Well Toby is at his best when his shirt is off so I can’t say that would entirely surprise me.

Adding to earlier posts about historical incest pairings, I want to talk about Artemisia II of Caira. She’s from the Hellenic period and became the next ruler after her brother’s death. One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is a mausoleum build for her brother and husband Mausolus which she herself commissioned. She’s known for her great love and grief for her brother, she died only two years after him. You should look them up! They’ve become one of my favorite historic “royal” couple.

I have heard about Artemisia and Mausolus but I always love being reminded, even though it’s so sad. Thanks, Anon! I have a small tag going for them here. 

I think it’s time to remind people that Charles Darwin of all people married his first cousin and had ten children with her. o/

I was scrolling through the whispers app and I read about a guy who met this really cool girl through an online video game and became real good friends and he liked her a lot… Until they decided to skype and it turned out to be his sister. Idk I found it hilarious and worth sharing

James McAvoy who played the twincestuous brother in Children Of Dune also played in the movie Filth with his real life sister Joy, they had a scene together where she was a murder suspect and he as the cop had to in his words “threaten her violently and ever so slightly sexually as well”. In the same interview he described her work from another movie by saying “Who’s that really sexy, charismatic young lassie?” and follows up with “I know she’s my sister but I think she’s brilliant.”.

Oh, I just watched Filth a couple of months ago. I had no idea!

Hey! If you live in the US (EST) you should put on mtv right now! They’re going to show an episode of “True Life” about women who’ve found love with their cousins and have had their babies. Thought I’d let you know since you might be interested. Real life shipping is not really my thing but I’m gonna watch it anyway because I find it interesting :)
